First Day

Tomorrow's my first day of my first counseling job.

Not internship, not volunteer work, but job, hooray!

Translation: This week feels both exciting and daunting at the same time, for sure.

Starting a new job is no walk in the park, but I've been waiting for this for a long time.

I'm ready to get started, ready to learn a whole lot, and ready to find my place in the counseling and psychology world.

Of course the daunted, nervous part of me wants to panic and wear pajama pants and read Harry Potter instead, but I know that what I really, truly want is waiting for me at that first job tomorrow.
